Diego grew up in Goleta, California, in a soccer household with his mom, dad, and older brother. He graduated from Dos Pueblos High School in 2022, where he played soccer and competed with the Santa Barbara Soccer Club. Diego went on to complete his collegiate soccer career at Westmont College, where he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and plans to graduate in 2026. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Diego began his personal walk with God. As a sophomore in high school, he realized that faith wasn’t just something he grew up around—it was something he needed to choose for himself. Through FCA events and the guidance of a mentor who walked with him through that season, Diego discovered that the greatest purpose and joy in life come from serving God's Kingdom. In February 2021, he was baptized and fully gave his life to Christ. That same year, he stepped into a leadership role with FCA at Dos Pueblos. After graduating, he continued that calling at Westmont, where he served as an FCA intern for two years. Now, Diego has officially joined the FCA staff and continues to invest in local high school and college campuses—especially at his alma mater, Dos Pueblos. His heart is to help students encounter the same life-changing hope he found through Jesus.
